Ram has become its own brand in the last few years. Even though they are still owed by Dodge (and ultimately the Fiat Chrysler Company), Ram is more of the heavy-duty line of vehicles offered by the company. They market themselves as the workforce behind the Dodge and Chrysler companies.
These trucks come in varying sizes, just like Ford and Chevrolet. The difference with Ram is their towing ability, which is what they are most known for. Though their competition is really stepping up the game to compete for that title.
This truck is mechanically identical to its sister, the Chevy Silverado. The Sierra is offered as an upgrade in comfort and style.
However, for the 2019 model, GMC is offering a few unique touches to the Sierra that will showcase more differences from the Silverado. The first being a two-piece tailgate.

The 2019 model overall has a great IIHS Crash Rating, making it one of the safest trucks on the road today.
This is another mid-sized truck, similar to the Tacoma. The Nissan Frontier has been in production since 1997, selling 79,646 vehicles in the United States in 2018.
The Frontier is currently in its third generation (beginning in 2014), with several special models sold only in European countries.

Rounding out as the third mid-sized truck on our list, the Colorado is a force to be reckoned with.
The Colorado has been in production off and on since 2004, initially being classed as a compact truck. It replaced the ever-popular S-10 at the time and didn’t get upgraded to a mid-sized truck until 2012.
Though the truck struggled in years 2013 and 2014, sales really took off in 2015, earning it the 2015 Truck of the Year.
